Happy Birthday

Today is Courtney's 16th birthday!!! We welcomed the day with breakfast in bed and opening of the presents. She got a new cell phone this year. Then I went back to bed as she headed off to get her drivers license. Then we ventured to the mall to do a little after Christmas shopping. We hit up Forever 21. The checkout line took forever but we both walked away with a little something. The family went to dinner at PF Changs and Cold Stone for dessert. What a fun-filled day!!
Hope you had a great day Court! 16 is a fun age. Thanks for being a great sister!! I love you!!
PS...I have been an extreme slacker on taking pictures over this Christmas Break. I should probably pick it up...

What's A Girl To Do

This is the story about a girl I found. She knew it was cold outside and was kind enough to brace the bitter cold and help a friend in need. She grabbed whatever she could find and dressed herself in what looks to be in the dark. She walked by the full length mirror and took a step back. She was taken aback by her attire....so much so that she insisted on a photo being taken of her to document the mismatch apparel.
Without a care in the world, she stepped out of her room and went outside. The awkward looks she received brought joy to my soul. She walked around like she wore these clothes on a regular basis. Somehow I have managed to love this girl no matter what she does...and she does some wack things.
I LOVE YOU MICHELE MELINDA RINGER!!!!

Bitter Sweet

Well I made it home! It is so nice to be back. I love it. I beat the supposed storm that they claim to fall upon us. Who knows if it will happen cuz nothing has started yet. It is 10:30 and my family is all asleep and I still think it is early. So I am trying to find stuff to do...I am in the process of doing my laundry so that will keep me occupied. Leaving Provo was bitter sweet. I am ever so ready for the break, but we had to say goodbye to a lot of our friends heading out on their missions. I know everyone of them will be great in all the diverse places they are serving.Tyson Williams (Columbia)Jordan Johnson (Guatamala)Dallin Hyer (Ukraine)Spencer Hadley (California)Jesse McKay, Dustin Larsen (Japan), and Drew Smith (Uruguay)

I know I have more friends that are heading out that I was unable to get a picture with. I wish all of these boys the best of luck and get excited for the fantastic letters you will get from me!

Last Weekend in Utah in 2008

Winter has arrived here in P-Town. The snow has fallen, the cold has come, and Christmas is coming! What an exciting time. It is fun to be in the snow for the first little while, but I know I will be sick of it real soon. Finals start tomorrow...I hope they go ok.
Weekend recap: Friday..went to a party in Arlington. It was really fun hanging out with Kristin's roommates and all their friends. Saturday..did some studying and then headed up for the rest of the weekend in Bountiful with Natalie, Melissa, and Justin. Sunday morning we woke up to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert shabang! Well Natalie's grandparents live way up on a mountain and the snow fell hard. We were buried!! The picture below is of the snow in Bountiful. Justin's car had no chance of making it so we took their aunt's 4 wheel drive car down the mountain and made it. I made the mistake of wearing my big heely boots. Terrible decision with the snow and ice. Natalie and I walked arms linked so very slow. It was fun! Concert was good...President Monson was there. What a great man! Now I am ready to get these finals over with and come home for a break which is much needed!!

End of the Semester...Almost

Today was the last day of classes for fall semester. This last week has been such a breeze. I haven't done anything. People have been studying for finals...and maybe I should too...but I am feeling good about mine so I plan on buckling down tomorrow. I have enjoyed my classes this semester.

Anthropology...what a joke! Haven't gone to lecture for like the last month now. All you have to go to is the lab every week. I have gotten all A's on my papers. It was so easy.
American Heritage...this was my favorite class. The labs, quizzes, and tests absolutely sucked, but I loved the lectures and especially LOVED Professor Holland. He is an amazing guy. He made the material so interesting and tied the church into it when possible. I loved his last lecture so much...I went twice!!! I am definitely going to miss him for sure. I have never liked a teacher, especially with my two semesters at BYU, so much as Brother Holland.
Biology...that was an interesting class that I really didn't care about. My teacher is a bear hunter and has no desire teaching Bio 100 so he didn't. I often fell asleep in that class and on some occasions woke up to a llama in my face! :)
Book of Mormon...great class as always. Brother Bartholomew was great. At the beginning of the semester he made sure he knew everyone's name. And he stuck to it. With a class of 150 that is impressive!
And then I had my online class...piece of cake. All there is to it.

Fall semester was full of great lunches every single day with Michele, sleeping in the library, visits to the candy counter, buying Sher lunch every day...and having a great time.

Now on to finals....as my favorite saying goes "Come What May and Love It". I am not worried too much. And then HOME for a while. Can't wait!!!
