Viva Las Vegas

Kristin, Michele, and I had a great time in Vegas. The drive was not that bad and we were able to stop in St. George for some greatly missed In-N-Out. Once in Vegas we went to this custard/yogurt/ice cream place called Luv-Its. It was good. Saturday, Kristin and I hung out on the strip while Michele went to a friends bridal shower. Then we met up with Michele and went shopping and the Fashion Show Mall. Then we went with Michele's dad to the UNLV Rebel game. That was a blast. Next to the Cougars I am going to have to say the Rebs are my 2nd favorite. After that we went bowling with some friends from school. I suck at bowling. Sunday we went to our friend Cameron's mission farewell. It was great timing that we were there and were able to see him. Michele's mom cooked us a delicious Sunday dinner and she was so extremely kind enough to buy an ice cream cake for us to celebrate my birthday. It was probably one of the best ones we have had so far. Then on Monday we went out to breakfast for my birthday at Original Pancake House...gotta love the pecan pancakes. My friend Mike from Temecula happened to be in Vegas visiting his brother so we were able to meet up. It was fun to catch up with him and see he is doing well. Then we made the trip back to gloomy cold Provo. It was such a fun trip...one that will definitely be repeated...especially during winter semester to escape the cold. Being away from the snow and cold got me so anxious for summer time and the sun.
Heat...please come soon!
*I will post more pictures that are on Michele's camera and her moms*

Elder Sorensen

I know two posts in one day!! At least you have something to read.

Last week my good friend Daniel Sorensen entered into the MTC. He will be serving his mission in Costa Rica. The day before he left he and his parents were buying some last minute things at the BYU bookstore. The good friend that he is..he called me up to come see him and say goodbye. We had said our goodbyes before Christmas Break because we didnt think we would be able to see each other...so I was thrilled to get to see him one last time. This picture is a classic missionary pic that his mom took of us. Danny had already been set apart so no hugging according to missionary standards. All I got was a handshake, but fortunately we had a good talk beforehand. Danny's mom sent Kristin the picture and told her to forward it to me so when I checked my email I had the picture and Kristin was also so kind as to forward me Danny's first letter home as a missionary to his family. It was so fun to read his letter and see that he hasn't changed much. I can just imagine him saying the exact things we wrote.
I know Danny will be a great missionary! Good luck.

Kristin's Birthday

FEBRUARY 2nd!!!!!

Today is the day to celebrate Kristin as she grows older and is now 19. On Saturday a bunch of girls were able to go out and celebrate. We went to Magelby's for dinner. It was fun to sit and talk and devour the chocolate cake for dessert. We were there for nearly 2 1/2 hours and the poor waitress was probably so glad when all 12 of us were finally gone. After realizing that we hardly took any pictures at dinner Michele, Kristin, and I decided to have a photo shoot of our own back at the dorms.Hope you have a great day Kristin!! You are so amazing and I love you!!

Lately

We have been using Michele's camera lately to take all our pictures and she has taken forever to give me them. So I finally took things into my own hands and got them myself one day while she was sleeping. So here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks.

Doesn't she look SO HAPPY!!!Meesh was forced to join Natalie and Sheridan's inter tube water polo team for one game and she hated every second of it. It is such a good thing I changed my mind about doing it although it is way funny to watch.
We got bored cheering so we took pictures of us instead. Sorry Sher that we missed your goal because of it.

This is at the BYU vs. UNLV basketball game. Natalie and I faithfully cheered for the Cougars while Michele cheered for her Rebs. She was brave enough to wear rebel red in the BYU student section. Some gave her looks and we even had one rude girl in front of us turn around and chew her out. At least she didnt get kicked out like another friend of ours did. The real party started after the game when Meesh, Kristin, and I went and hung out with the Rebels. They are so fun and so chill. It was such a fun night to remember.

This past Friday (01/30) we decided to go to Park City. It was a random late decision made at like 10:00PM. But what the heck there is nothing to do in Provo...especially in the winter so we headed off through the canyon. We all looked so cute in our coats and scarfs.Meesh insisted on taking a picture with the cow that was inside the little place where we got hot chocolate.I love these girls so much. Here we are sipping on some hot chocolate with delicious hazelnut syrup. It was fun to just walk up and down Main Street. We were there so late that none of the cute boutiques were open...that just means we will have to make another trip.
